This antique variety originated in France in 1739! Fameuse is a roundish-medium sized apple with a beautiful red over cream colored skin and pure white, crisp flesh. Slightly aromatic. Fameuse is spicy, juicy and sweet and is good for desserts or cider.

Pollination: Requires McIntosh or Golden Delicious for good cross pollination

Tree Characteristics: Very hardy, long lived. Bears heavily, so fruit tends to be small
