Originated in New York, 1849
Fruit:
A large apple, roundish with a yellowish-green base washed or striped with bright red. Soft, juicy, creamy flesh. Flavor is sweet and spritely with a hint of strawberry. Aromatic. An old variety excellent for all uses from eating to baking to cooking.
