Yellow Newtown Pippin
Originated in Newtown, Long Island, NY in the early 1700's.
Fruit:
Medium to very large fruit is usually roundish oblate in shape. The apple is green to greenish-yellow with light orange-brown flush. The finely grained flesh is pale cream, juicy, spritely, and its fine aromatic flavor makes it an excellent dessert fruit.
